I looked at your photos....jeez are we related????? Our face shapes, the shape

of our eyes... .

Are you into genealogy at all? Perhaps we are related!!! You even have that

line around your chin thang that I have....I thought surgery would get rid of

it...since surgery I've been thinking about using that scar removal patch that

is advertised on tv to diminish mine. I've got some native American in

me.......Cherokee I've been told....

Looking at your profile and mine, I honestly think MY chin jutted out JUST as

much as yours....something that I always tried to diminish when I had photos

taken etc. Open my jaw slightly, let it hang down to lengthen my face. Now I

feel my chin is almost diminutive.

You are a good looking woman. I think we all get SOOOOO caught up in what we've

been told by people over the years about THEIR opinion of our looks, that we

forget that opinions are like belly-buttons....we all have them and they are all

different.

I once heard a therapist (or someone) say that we would all be so much better

off if we could be like cats. As us humans pass a mirror, we glance in and

think.....hmmmm my chins too big, my eyes are too squinty, etc. Cats walk by

and look in a mirror and think...hmmmm that's me (OK, if cats could think,

etc....work with me people!!!)

Yeah, I thought exactly the same thing. I AM into genealogy quite a

bit, actually. I have researched most of my family tree at least

several generations back, EXCEPT for the line where I get my eyes and

chin (and coloring) from. My mother's father was a McClain, but she

never knew him. (Long story.) I've seen a picture of him, and my

mother and I definitely got our chin and eyes from him. His paternal

line went back several generations in the Southern California area. I

know a bit about his father and grandfather, but nothing about his

mother or maternal line. His mother may have been named Hannah

Reardon. Priester is another possible family name.

I have often wondered if I have Native American or Asian ancestry

because of my eyes. Someday I would like to research the McClain line

further.

I have two cats, and I think they DO think when they walk by mirrors:

" Yep, that's me. I am SO hot. " ;-)

I alternate between loving and loathing myself, and I am READY to stop

the loathing part. It is tiresome.
