Guest guest
Hi Sara, I am glad your flight went well and that you arrived safely. Sorry about the banding though. Were you comfortable with where to place the bands and all? I guess having had them for so long kind of makes you an expert, but it would have freaked me out to have to apply them on my own. (I don't have my braces yet, so that may explain that! lol). The weather sounds wonderful and it is great you feel so close to your home there. Take care, and hey, you are never more than a PC away from anyone here! lol Have a great time! Hugs, Fran > Hello All! > > See I told you I'd be posting from Italy as soon as I could. Guest guest
Hello Sara - How wonderful to hear from you! Happy that you arrived safe and sound at home, and yes, you are probably addicted to this group. I can think of much worse addictions though! Sorry to hear about your missed appointment with your honey of an OS. I'm sure you two will see each other again sometime. I received some good news on Thursday from my OMS's (Dr. ) office: they had a cancellation and moved my Orthognathic Surgery consult appointment up, from July 18th to July 5th (this coming Tuesday). Needless to say, I'm ecstatic to say the least! (I, like you, have an absolute sweetie for a Surgeon) Also, my OD (Dr. Slattery) and Dr. finally got together last Thursday to discuss me, so Dr. has ALL my records and molds, even the stuff from 1997 (last time I was worked up for all this). I called my OD to make sure that my OMS had all the records and molds, and we had a nice talk. He told me that they both agree on the BSSO, and doubt I will need a LeFort but I will need a clinical exam to make sure. He told Dr. how anxious I am to get all this done, and my Surgeon said he already knew that, as HE is also looking forward to getting the process started. Dr. Slattery assured me that I'm in good hands, and he will take excellent care of me. He told me that he will be very gentle when he puts the braces on and NOT to worry about it. At work on Thursday, I was so excited that I hardly got any work done, so Friday I had lots of work to do. This past week I've had bad headaches and jaw pain, so it's a good thing that I'm finally getting this done.// Well, rest up from the jet lag. Take care and we'll talk again soon. ~~~~ Diane > Hello All! > > See I told you I'd be posting from Italy as soon as I could. Guest guest
Diane, That's excellent news about your app. being moved up to July 5th!! Whoopppeee! I'm so excited for you. I know how anious you've been to get the process started and with all your jaw pain I don't blame you. I felt the same way too when I finally decided to do the surgery. Make sure you post an update of how the appointment goes. And your OS does sound like a sweetie. We are 2 lucky cats! I'll keep my fingers crossed that you won't need the Le Forte. Have a great 4th of July weekend!! Sara
