Guest guest
Given the fact that all the foods you're mentioning have anti-fungal/biotic/viral properties I have to wonder if the burping might actually be a die-off reaction. Just a thought. fi > > > > I'm not a fan of peppers, onions, and garlic anyway, so I don't put them in food that I eat/make all by myself. But my mom likes to season the meat with stuff like that (the meat at supper is the only food item the entire family eats). I'm just grateful to have one item that I don't have to cook myself, so a little onion et al burping is worth it ;-). > > Holly > Crohn's > SCD 12/01/08 > > > > >> > > >> Hi Carol, > > >> > > >> My onion and garlic powders are homemade, but the other spices are commercial brands (we just got a bunch of Penzey's). Guest guest
sounds like it is just fermentation to me - a reaction you don't want. Guest guest
You're right, Mara, with gas it can go eitehr way. If its fermentation, the gas produced would be exponential, whereas a die-off reaction would produce a more finite amount of gas. So, in my experience, if its repeated burping that doesn't provide relief, its a result of fermentation; but cathartic gas or burping that happens once or twice and isn't uncomfortable or feels like a relief afterward would be caused by bacterial death. Does that make sense? fi > > > > sounds like it is just fermentation to me - a reaction you don't want. > > Mara > > > > > Given the fact that all the foods you're mentioning have > > anti-fungal/biotic/viral properties I have to wonder if the burping > > might actually be a die-off reaction.
