HI FROM SEATTLE

I'm new to this group but just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Carly

and have been on this journey for 3 years.......whew! I'm about to

get my surgery date in a couple of weeks and unless anything else

can possibly go wrong (had to switch insurance companies after being

turned down,the nurses are going on strike in 5 days, my surgeon

broke his hip, broke his leg last year in sports accidents)I will

soon be getting my long awaited bypass. During the wait I've been

diagnosed with diabetes and just last week had to go on insulin

injections. Already had osteoarthritis in my knees and other heath

problems. LORD I'M NEEDING SOME DIVINE INTERVENTION AT THIS POINT!

I'm staying positive with a few little roller coaster rides to the

bottom of the hill on some of the down days. But it's been an

experience this journey to the other side. I CAN'T WAIT! (actually I

guess I can, since that's most of what I've done so far)

learn what I can through other's experiences. Still have lots of

questions.

Welcome Carly,

I am in Alabama and awaiting my surgery date for next month.

I also have similiar episodes these past years having to change

insurance's then waiting for my husbands job to offer it last

January. Now its a go and I am excited just impatient waiting for

the " date " ! I was afraid that I would't be considered for the

surgery due to nothing major wrong except occasional asthma but do

have pain in my lower back, hips and knees. Was worried I'd get

turned down. Glad you found us and wish you well. This group is

full of information that I utilize daily in my plan to become

healthy.
