Guest guest
If your ins covers it, try: Chromagen Forte (150mg elemental) Trinsicon (which has a million generics, mine was Ferotrinsic)(110mg elemental) Niferex Forte(150mg elemental) Fe sulfate = 325mg iron SALTS, which is equal to about 65mg elemental iron (just for comparison) All are non-fe sulfate, contain B12 + intrinsic factor (which does not make it work for us), folic acid and vit C. OTC irons include the generic Niferex (not forte) 150mg elemental carbonyl irons (usually 19-25mg elemental) ferrous fumarate (18+) glycinate (9+) bisglycinate (9+) trisglycinate (9+) And a few more. That's pretty much the order in which I've seen them work well, too. Sometimes the niferex generic + carbonyl works well Iron is always taken with vit C, never with dairy or caffeine, never with any other vites, minerals or meds (unless a pharmacist says they work together). Alone together for at least an hour. Personally, I do not put iron or any other pill on empty. Even a cracker is better than iron + stomach lining to me. Thanks, Vitalady, Inc.
