I think of Marilyn everytime I see the news since she's the SCD cook in NO ;-).  It's worrisome to say the least to everyone with the last several years of hits (imho).

 

On the wine topic and OT, if you take LDN, you may not notice the wine affect very much.  There is some type of barrier with me that I have to watch.  I'm not sure how it would affect anyone else though.

I'd've paid double what I did for enough oysters for Dad's birthday. Last

year, my Mom was slipping into dementia, only we hadn't yet realized it,

and he had a lousy birthday because of it. I wanted this year to be extra

special, and it was!

LOL! I do wine on birthdays, our anniversary, and Thanksgiving and

Christmas... and that's about IT. When I was filling out a form for my

doc about alcohol use, it had stuff like " daily, weekly,

months... " and I looked at her and said, " Once in November,

twice in December (wine at Christmas, and a hard cider for New Years),

once in May, once in June, twice in July, and once in August.

She looked at me and said, " I think it's safe to say you don't have

an alcohol problem.... "
