Hooray, that's great, Sara!!! That's so awesome that your docs were

able to work out a compromise that works for everyone. Hopefully all

will go well and you'll be free. ;-) L

sara - i'm so happy for you! it sounds like it will really work out

:o) you know, while i was reading your post - i had an idea. not

something i expect anyone to know the answer to...but maybe would it

be possible to have a removable splint? i mean, something more like a

retainer? maybe it could hook onto the upper or lower braces and then

we could sleep in it or whatnot. but then we would know that we were

still biting in the same place and not having any relapse. i don't

know...just a thought.

you better have tons of fun in italy and send us tons of pictures and

most of all...don't forget us!

cheers!

Some people do have removable splints. They're allowed to take them out

for cleaning.

I did not. Mine was solidly wired into place (although my mouth was not

wired shut) for seven long weeks. And it was supposed to have been

six.. Oh well. My mouth healed well, and my post op bite was

pronounced " Awesome " by my surgeon. Who could ask for anything more?

Sara,

Just tossing in my congratulations with the rest of the group. :)

I'm glad that your visit went well and that you'll most likely be

able to head off to Italy sans splint! :)
