Guest guest
Geez, I couldn't believe how much candy I could eat. I'm hating myself this weekend. But Halloween is THE worse time of year for me. Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentines Day, and Easter are nothing in the eating department for me.... So I guess, compared to previous years, this one was a better (with the exception of right after surgery). I guess this was a live and learn experience for me. I think I will try somebody's advice and give money next year. Guest guest
Actually, we could all start this year planning for next Halloween. What can we do differently? It seems like a lot of us didn't get too many trick or treaters. So that is something to plan on. I liked the idea of watching for the sales the day after but we don't have to limit ourselves to Halloween trinkets. Little erasers, things like that. Buying little things we can tuck away a few at a time. What about " treating " ourselves to a non-candy treat? I will admit I spoiled myself on something. Getting my disability check and having a little money in my pocket gave me a bit of freedom. When I went to the drugstore I found a " Fall " candle marked down. It was Apple Crisp fragrance and it smells really nice. Is there anything wrong with that? Or what about ... when I was a child we had something called " Trick or Treat for Unicef " what about a donation to something? Meanwhile what can we do to set ourselves up for Thanksgiving/Christmas sanity? Suggestions??? What has worked for you. I admit I miss Christmas baking. But if I bake I eat. At least I nibble. I don't want to bake and have to say no. I feel " deprived " if I do that. I have to think of something to replace that good smell feeling. B from NJ --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
