I wasn't there for that - have no clue. Don't know what Elaine did or didn't

say, if she said anything

about it.

But there's less room for contamination. I was also told by someone on list

that the whole

canned tomatoes are made from the best tomatoes from the field and the other

ones

can be odds and ends of other, non-whole tomatoes.
