Guest guest
Well my photo's are two days old now but whatever! Today was Day 9!! I can't believe it! Time actually has gone by pretty fast. Nights are still long but I feel really good during the days. I just keep waking up in need of pain med and some food. Only waking up once a night though...so not too bad. I went to the surgeon on Monday and he took my stitches on the sides out. No big mark at all remaining. Except on the right cheek, I got an irritation from the band-aid I think. We called and he didnt seem too concerned. I have all little red dry patches under where the band-aid adheasive was stuck. Its starting to go down though. He also put me in bands. I was really disappointed that day because I can't take them off. I can open just enough to slide a baby fork through the band though, which is wonderful because I had been living off pudding and jell-o stuff and ice cream and sorbet. I can still get those in, its just harder. And I can still drink fine through a cup (and not drooling much anymore!!) I have been living off chicken noodle soup(drained), tomato soup, milkshakes, smoothies, and all the above. My scale has gone wacko so I dont know exactly how much weight I've lost. I started at 111..was down to 105 about day 7. Then the next day it said I gained a pound and a half. And now I lost a half pound today. Its jumping up and down a bunch so I don't think its very accurate anymore! I don't think I'm loosing too much though which is good because I cannot afford it!!!! The worst pain I am having is behind/below my front bottom teeth. It feels like a burning pain constantly. It is sooo uncomfortable and the pain med just barely helps it. The rest of my pain has gone way down though...I think because I am banded shut and cannot move around as much anymore. The swelling and green tint has been going down a little as you can see in the photos I posted and I have been venturing out. Went with mom to run errands for an hour or so yesterday. Then went with her again this morning to pick something up at the mall and got some ice cream and stopped in at dance. There weren't too many people there so I didn't get much of a reaction yet. I am happy with how I look so far though. It's just so comforting knowing that my jaw is " perfect " now...not going to a doctor and having them say: Your face is not normal...which is what the man that took my wisdom teeth out said the first time I met him..nice huh?? That was the first thing he said to me..I switched doctors really fast lol. Well that is about it for now. I've been really beat this afternoon. Already took a 2 hour nap and am still tired. Too much running around I guess. I just feel so good these days And good luck or congrats to anyone thats recently gone through or is going through surgery!! I feel bad but I kind of lost track of everyone while I was recovering... ~~

Guest guest
, You look incredible! I'm quite attached to your case as your pre-op pics so resemble mine:-). I know you are so happy! I hope you continue to feel great and take it easy....even a couple hour trip can exhaust you for awhile. > Well my photo's are two days old now but whatever! Today was Day > 9!! I can't believe it!
