Guest guest
Now that cocoa butter (coconut butter is awesome too) is deemed ok, the choices have really opened up. I wonder how Elanaspantry.com's ch-c-l-te ch-p cookies with chunks of cocoa butter would be like white chunk chocolate with macadamia nut cookes. Heya Debbie.I'm not sure this would work, as cocoa butter is just the fat and will melt entirely, unlike chocolatewhich partially melts, but does not entirely melt. I think cocoa butter works best in things where itis supposed to be melted and dissolved into the other substance. It's best used as a fat substitute. IME - so far. Guest guest
True, didn't think of that. Have you ever tried Spectrum's palm oil? I've seen it used in frosting recipes. I wonder if you melted both down and mixed together, it would work. Or use some butter. Sometime later this summer I will be able to get some cocoa butter and play around with it. I'm really not the baker though so maybe it's a good thing I'm waiting for later after someone else has tested it out ;-). debbie41cd Now that cocoa butter (coconut butter is awesome too) is deemed ok, the choices have really opened up.
