Hey all, just on my lunch break and thought I would fill you all in ont he

progress.

Everything is going great, one month ago today I was in getting cut open and

yesterday I went abck to work. I oculd have ogne backearlier, but I am on

contract so I figured I may as well wait til the official start date just to

relax a little.

At this point i am eating solid food (have been since the wires came off) I dont

chew that much solid, mostly just try and mush it up with my weak jaws. I am in

elastics 23/24 hours, but the ortho said that will probbally be reduced to only

at night in about a month.

I had an ear achefor the last week, went back to my surgeon yesterday adn he

said its probabaly just jaw aches bc its so close to my ear ( i have never had

an earache before, so nothing to compare it to). He also said that my bite is

still perfect adn it hasnt moved at all adn is impressed wiht how far I can open

my mouth :)

I also started working out again yesterday, low impact cardio adn back at weight

training as usual, no problems, I actually had more energy for the cardio than I

did pre op..must be the weight loss.

So, spread the word, there are a lot of success stories out there, unfortunitly,

we mostly hear about the bad experiences!

Kev,

Congrats! It sounds like you're doing really well. I'm so happy for

you! I love to hear the success stories!

I'm counting down ... 6 weeks until I get unwired! :)

Kev, that's fantastic, good to hear since I am going through this in just under

two months. I have a month off too so will be glad to use up the whole month to

relax even if I don't need it.

Hope things continue to go well for you.
