I am going to meet with my oral sureons patient who just had

surgery

with him 3 weeks ago. Did any of you do this? If so any

questions that you guys would be sure to ask this person?

Hi:

I had someone come into my office today who just had upper and lower

jaw surgery. I asked her just about everything I could think of. I

was relieved to see that she was doing well 2 months post op. Her face

was still a little puffy, but other than that she really looked great.

The main questions I asked her were how she felt coming out of surgery,

how much time she took off of work and was it enough time, and how does

she feel now. She did tell me that after surgery she threw up blood

which the hospital told her was normal. She informed me that the first

2 weeks were the worse and steadily got better each day after that.

Her main problem was headaches and congestion at night. The said she

still has a bit of numbness still which is getting better. She said as

far as pain went she had very little.

So I would ask as much as you can while you have the chance, but

remember that her surgery may not be the same as yours and we all

recover at our own pace.

Good Luck,
