You could just eat a nice meal--steak, seafood that's broiled or legal and have fresh fruit if tolerated for dessert.

It's hard to say.  There's lots of recipes on the web and if you tell me the age, preferences, etc. maybe I can do a search for you.  I don't know what you can do/get where you are if it's for you.  You are pretty new so do you tolerate nut flours, raw fruits, etc.?

Since I've been ill, we don't go out or anything too much either.  Especially the first two years, I made something at home like banana pancakes or the SCd version of buttermilk pie or a cheesecake.  Even a bowl of well cooked carrots with honey/cinnamon was awesome back then ;-).  That's why I was saying going out or staying in and having something like broiled fish with shrimp (or crawfish) or lump crab with that or a steak or something edible that won't make you sick seemed great to me.  I made walnut butter brownies and carrot cake brownies--the walnut is a good fake out because if you've always eaten brownies with walnuts, your mind just thinks it's a brownie--seriously. Really good fake out.  So I think if I had the means, I'd order a lobster tail and do a surf and turf this soon into the diet.

Now that cocoa butter (coconut butter is awesome too) is deemed ok, the choices have really opened up.  I wonder how Elanaspantry.com's ch-c-l-te ch-p cookies with chunks of cocoa butter would be like white chunk chocolate with macadamia nut cookes.  Or white chocolate fudge--has anyone tried that?

Good luck, you'll think of something I'm sure ;-)  and Happy Birthday!

Hmmm, now that you mention it, I haven't celebrated either of my birthday's on SCD. But I have a weird family. We really don't celebrate anything anymore (although we do sometimes have dinner for Thanksgiving). Maybe a fruit plate would be a good treat?
