Guest guest
What I mean by that is if you go to a Dr., it doesn't mean he knows how to help you just because he is a Dr. When my ferritin kept plummeting, he looked at me and said " I don't have a clue about what to do to fix this. " A hematologist would be the next logical step if your iron levels don't rise. *I think you and your Dr. are pretty smart people! I have way more respect for this honest answer than someone who tries to convince you (and themselves) that they know more about something than they really do. Kudos to him for his honesty, and to you for recognizing that Dr's aren't necessarily competent/experts at everything.* Best of luck, Sharon in Indy
