Guest guest
My friend wants to buy one? Anyone have model suggestions or a discounted place it can be purchased? Thanks, Jodi
Guest guest
THe newer models are the best because they have a variable speed setting dial in the middle, which is nice for a variety of reasons... also, I think vitamix sells refurbished ones at a discount. They stand by their product and build them themselves, so I think the refurbished ones still have good warranties! Guest guest
My mom just bought one at Costco. It was (I think) $395, and the additional dry blade container was $95. Significantly cheaper then buying off the vitamix website. She uses this thing multiple times a day! This is fine if you tolerate lots of fiber, but I cannot say I recommend it at the beginning of the diet. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle
Guest guest
My mom bought one, and she uses it EVERYDAY! She always had a salad for lunch, but it took her a long time to chop up everything and then eat it. She now throws everything in the Vitamix and makes a salad smoothie. She then has a fruit based smoothie for a snack, and we often have soup as a side for dinner. So that's 3 times a day. I haven't started using it yet (other then eating the delicious soup my mom makes), but plan on making smoothies as well. For awhile, my mom was also using it to make applesauce for my dad. She couldn't keep up with the amount he consumes though, so he now gets store bought (much to his displeasure, but he's too lazy to make it himself). Considering that it would be nice grinding my own nut flour and getting rid of all seeds on the fruit, making them more digestible are strong plusses. Not sure I would use it for soups or juices. Would be nice to hear the opinions on the use and frequency of use. > Thanks! > > >
