Guest guest
Hello Everyone! My son got his band today! So far so good! He has done so well, he didn't cry and adjusted really well to the band. We had his PT appointment today and we took the band off and there were red spots. The red spots didn't go away until 1 1/2 hours. Then they went back to the regular color. I called and they said to put the band back on and just check again in 3 hours. We checked it again at 3 hours and the one side is still red by where the band buckles and at the back of the head. It eventually goes away. But they are still there. I was wondering if anyone has experienced this and if they will eventually go away? Thank you in advance!
Guest guest
there are okay red spots, and bad red spots. The okay ones are at the holding points, and get red, fade to pink, but don't get " angry " looking. My daughter had extra width so she had two areas that were always red at the sides of her head. They didn't get any worse over time, and would lighten up with the band off. These are fine. However if the spots are getting worse, or are in an area where you don't think the band should be holding then get them checked. If you do put the band back on do frequent checks to make sure it isn't getting worse. Also red spots are an indication that the band is getting tight (baby is growing) and it may be time for an adjustment. My daughter's forehead always got reddish before her adjustment. -christine sydney, 3.5 yrs, starband grad > > Hello Everyone! My son got his band today! So far so good!
