Sherra,

Thanks for posting that, you are so right about contributing. Many times I've

read a post

and it " sunk in " finally. I'm with you on the exercise one however, if THAT

would " sink in "

consistantly I'd be thrilled!!!

The veggie thing is a wonderful idea. I have heard it before too, but have

never done it. I'm going to do it as soon as I get some veggies.

The other thing I do that is very very successful is that I preload all of

my protein. Now this does take up quite a bit of space, but it has been

worth it to me.

I have 3 shelves of wide mouth quart and pint canning jars that I measure

the protein into. Then all I do is add water and ice, and the hand blender

fits right in the jar. For when I am away from home I do the same thing,

with plastic bottles. I have a whole shelf full of these also.

Okay, here's my contribution- I just got out of a walking cast (been

in it since May). I had gained- gulp- almost 15 pounds while in the

darn thing. I am now able to get back to full exercise, cardio

included. (Side note: had been forbidden to do any exercise while on

my feet and until last month was forbidden to even use stationary

bike). Keep in mind that I HATE exercise and would climb small

mountains to avoid it. But.......in the last 10 days I have been

able to get back on the stair climber and do full weight training

work outs and- drum roll please!- I have dropped 5 pounds already!

Now that's the difference between sitting on your behind and working

your behind!

....Now, please, get me to do my exercise..someone say something!

That is one area I am just being stubborn....

Congrats, Alice! Yes, working out makes all the difference for me.

Without it I would have to cut way back on my daily calories, which

is just not an option for those of us who LOVE our food!!
