Guest guest
Yes and i had lap gastric bypass and had no complications at all.... fliphaven wrote:Well actually I DID go to medical school and am on the board of surgical ethics as well as the commission that is deciding if this surgery will continued to be paid for by private insurance and/or medicare. If you think I was rude perhaps you did misread my post since I was merely pointing out fact and not the fiction that so many of you seem to spew to make yourselves feel better instead of the intense follow up and precare this procedure SHOULD require. > > > > > just a curious ? i had my gastric bypass 1 1/2 year > > > ago. i was in > > > the hospital for 5 days and had a drain. my mom > > > recently went for a > > > consultation to a different doctor. they told her > > > that she would be > > > in the hosital for 2 days and no drain. they also > > > told her that she > > > would have to be on opti-fast a week before. i did > > > not. is this > > > possible? > > > > > > Melannie21 > > > 310/190/150 > > > lap-rxy 1/13/03 > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > __________________________________ > > Do you Yahoo!? > > Yahoo! Guest guest
Ray, Bottom line, it is their lives. What each of us chooses to do is our business. If someone has the surgery and " chooses " to return to old eating habits that is their choice. You are not going to change that if that is what they want to do. Never could before the surgery and won't now. Everything in life is our own personal choices and trying to shame someone into changing it won't help. And you know that. Let's face it none of us would need this surgery if our families, friends and doctors could have shamed us into changing our eating habits before. It has to be our choice.
