Guest guest
Sounds really good Alyssa. I've been traveling a lot lately...living on frozen beef patties, SCD yogurt, boiled eggs, fruit, and anything else I can pack in a hurry. Guest guest
Well still experimenting what can eat. So recalled bananas cooked to pancakes on intro diet and though in stage1-2(depends, certain foods cooked well from stage 2 feel good) bananas give me problems and also was on candida diet, but decided to try one(it was caling me - I heard bacter actually can make you want their food) and smashed it and put pat of butter and cooked it(oops alittle too much) , it was good and waited 15 imnutes, no bad reaction so far, tried the the blended zucini doing sos so on and cooked into distorted pancake and that went ok also. even had BM later, so mornig was going awesome, as felt fed!. Then tried some walnut with date blendered up with enzyme for a snack when did jobs. Had stomach pains first low left then for a few hours rt of navel 4 " anad down 1 " , drank big cup of warm water and walked and its going. some more protein sounds good, something not blendered. > > > > I figured I'd start this up again, in case anyone's interested. Guest guest
Alyssa, nice menu-want to plan mine??? I feel like I cook all the time and have a freezer full of food but nothing to eat. I plan out my family's meals but haven't quite incorporated mine in yet. Soon I will b/c i'm going crazy. I think part of my problem is that I feel like I have to keep cooking and freezing but afraid to use my "backup" food. I really need to get over that.I love to cook and never skimp on my family. I have 2 young children and feel responsible for having them eat as healthy as I can provide for them (soaked grains, soaked beans, homemeade everything...) Here's a question... I plan out my family's meals but haven't quite incorporated mine in yet. Soon I will b/c i'm going crazy.I can't even imagine having to plan meals for a family!! I go crazy just trying to feed myself!! I think part of my problem is that I feel like I have to keep cooking and freezing but afraid to use my "backup" food. I really need to get over that.Lol same thing with me! I'll cook and freeze a bunch of stuff, but then not feel entitled to pulling something out of the freezer!I love to cook and never skimp on my family. I have 2 young children and feel responsible for having them eat as healthy as I can provide for them (soaked grains, soaked beans, homemeade everything...) Wow, that's impressive! I doubt many little kids get to eat food as good as that! Here's a question... How are raw eggs better for us?They aren't necessarily better raw. I guess some people think they are, because they might be easier to digest, but then you don't want to eat too many raw whites because they bind to biotin. I just started eating raw eggs in my smoothies for extra fat/calories, but I also eat plenty cooked, too. So I guess it's just whatever floats your boat =P Cheers!Alyssa 16 yo UC April 2008, dx Sept 2008SCD June 2009 (restarted)Azathioprine 75 mg 1x per dayPrednisone 20 mg 1x per day

Usually, if it's a hard cheese, it's been aged long enough, and I think for it to be called cheddar it has to be aged a certain amount of time? Not sure about that, but I've never seen any soft cheddars =) I don't think it has any ingredients other than milk and cultures. Guest guest
I do the same thing! I make extra food and freeze it and then don't want to use it. I think it's the " hoarder " survivor instinct in us Here is what I ate yesterday: Breakfast--- smoothie: 1 cup yogurt, 1 frozen banana, shot espresso, 1/4 c. ice Lunch--- Buffalo burger with a bit of bbq sauce and melted havarti cheese Snack- apple/pear sauce with 1/2 c. yogurt Dinner--- Nachos Swiss cheese chips topped with dripped yogurt, salsa, mashed avocado, shrimp and jack cheese melted on top Dessert--- 1 cup vanilla ice cream I usually have a second snack (like squash bars with honey or cheese chips with chopped liver or guac), but I was in a meeting all day. I also noticed you guys not eating many " desserts " - I can't be the only one with a sweet tooth! -Joanna SCD 9/2009, Crohn's 1992, 30mg prednisone > > Alyssa, your food sounds wondeful!!! =D > > Breakfast=3 scrambled eggs with cheddar and parm cheese. 1/2 cup pineapple. > > Snack=about 1/2 cup red lentils > > Lunch=about 3/4 cup red lentils, 1/2 cup mango, and almond butter mixed with dried shredded coconut and honey. > > Snack=the rest of my almond butter with dried shredded coconut and honey. > > Dinner=nothing >

Guest guest
I do but lately I've been layering whole green grapes in my smoothies so that seems to help with the craving for sweets. Not totally but I'm finally starting to drag myself away from the fridge at night ;-).  Debbie  I usually have a second snack (like squash bars with honey or cheese chips with chopped liver or guac), but I was in a meeting all day. Guest guest
I think I read recently that to be called cheddar it has to be aged at least 30 days, and the stronger ones are longer than that. Maybe the minimum is longer, though. I use Trader Joe's raw cheddar. Usually, if it's a hard cheese, it's been aged long enough, and I think for it to be called cheddar it has to be aged a certain amount of time?
