when i did my pre-testing I had the samething as you did dora, except i also

had the breathing test. was given a spirdometer (device i inhaled from as

much as i could to get the little yellow thing up to the number 2). sorry guys,

i think my mind is going, either that or it's been a really long day. hope

everyone has a really good night.

I just had my testing this last Tuesday. All they did for me was check

weight & blood pressure. Talked to me about the anethesia, did an EKG

which took about 30 seconds once they hooked all the electrodes to me.

And took blood. That was it. Nothing to worry about.

If you are having pre-op testing.. I had mine done on Friday.. All

it consists of is taking more blood (CBC and Pregnancy Test) and

possibly an EKG if you haven't had one done.. Also, talking to your

anesthesiologist.. But who knows, might differ with each

patient/surgeon.

it's probably a swallow test to check for leaking, barbie, no big deal...they

make you swallow something and then they xray you...no discomfort...i was more

uncomfortable waiting in line for the radiologist...oh and good luck!!!

Added to what Alana said, I also had a chest Xray and besides blood

in the lab had to give a urine specimen. Good luck!

I guess the reason that I did not have to do that, was when I sat down

to do the blood pressure they put an oxygen sensor on my finger. When

she pulled it off she said that I was at 100% saturation. Of course I

had no idea what she meant and she explained that I am getting 100% of

the oxygen in my lungs that I should. That may be why they did not make

me do that. Who knows.
