Thank you for the information. I cannot eat regular sugar. I seem to be

very sensitive to it and dump every time. So I stay away. Thank you.

, I can only speak for myself, because they might not affect others

as they do me, but I find that since my surgery 2 years ago, I have become more

and more sensitive to them to the point where I have to be careful not to

exceed a certain amount per day. And they are in every sugar-free food for

the

most part, and not always listed in the nutritional values (so you have to

read the ingredients carefully to spot them.) What happens to me is that I

become murderously gassy, very painfully so. And the thing with sugar alcohols

is that they can take days to pass through your system. Maltitol in

particular will give me the runs like nothing else. Normies will have

problems

with SA's too, but perhaps not to the extent that those of us who are

digestively

reconfigured may.

They made me miserable for MONTHS until I finally figured out that they were

the culprit. My advice: consume them judiciously and in moderation.

It affects me an AGB patient, by giving me the worst diarrhea of my

life. I hate that stuff. If I want a piece of chocolate, I just have a

piece of real chocolate. The after effects aren't worth it to me!

question about sugar alcohols

I have a quick question for all you nutrition gurus out there. Can you

tell

me anything about sugar alcohols. Many times I find foods that list the

sugar

as 0 but the sugar alcohols as 16 or 17 grams. How does this affect us

RNY

people?

Hook up air compressor to your bottom. Inflate. Seal bottom.

6 hours later, uncork bottom.

Sugar alcohol.

Once again, brief, succinct and straight to the point, with pictures to

remember it by, not to mention a session of ROTFLMAO!
