I am sure she is on the road to recovery and at least now the toughest part is over! Keep us posted on how she is doing & please tell her we are all sending our Get Well Wishes!! > For those who sent us kind words, my 16 year old daughter had > her upper and lower jaw surgery yesterday. Guest guest
Hi , How did your OD appt go today? I had an appt today also to get my surgical hooks and wires in. It took a lot longer than I thought it would be (about an hour and a half). They aren't too bad and I'm already getting used to them. They gave me some wax just in case. I'm donating another pint of blood tomorrow morning at 7am. Did your doctor tell you how long your surgery will be? Mine is going to be around 6 hours. Are you going to post some pictures also? I plan to take some before and after pics and post them soon. Take care, Kay > > > > > I am having lower jaw surgery in a couple of weeks. although > I > > > have > > > > > been reading the messages here and have some idea of what I > > > should > > > > > expect to eat after surgery, I need help with getting all > the > > food > > > > i > > > > > need for atleast 1 week after my surgery. > > > > > Also, can someone give me some idea of the experience of the > > > first > > > > > meal after surgery and after how long were you able to eat. > > > > > > > > > > And what exactly should I buy to help me through my first > week? > > > > > alcohol free mouth-wash, ensure, boost.....drinking cup..zip- > n > > > > squeeze > > > > > bag? > > > > > Is there a list that I can follow and see what would work > for > > me > > > or > > > > > not?
