Guest guest
Thanks. It seems like we have been married forever and not just a year. We have been together a total of 8 1/2 years but did not get married until after we had been together over 7. But he is a great guy and I wouldn't trade him in for nothing. Guest guest
You never know. There are so many differences between the north and south when it comes to traditions and things like that. I think it is a great tradition and I am glad you guys do it too. Re: Laurette LOL..yup us yankees do that here also Laurette eat the top of the wedding cake on the 1st anniversary hehehe. . Guest guest
My husband and I are coming up on 6 years of marriage in November and 9 years together. We did the whole eat the cake top on our first anniversary too. It was totally disgusting. Dry as heck! LOL! But it was tradition and it was fun! in Delaware Lap RNY 3/10/04 261/171/
Guest guest
A friend of mine told me to store it wrapped in plastic wrap with a couple of apples cut up in a tupperware container with it. She said that when they ate theirs it was still fresh. Supposedly the apples help it somehow. Just a note in case anyone you know needs that useless information. Guest guest
Laurette, You made tears flow...I know everything can be replaced but I have my childhood memories (yes I am a pack rat) and antiques I inherited and we worked so hard to get where we are together...in our home. I told Don last night we needed to invest in parachutes...what goes up must come down...LOL!!! I have to have humor to survive these bundle of nerves...much worse than prior to surgery also...LOL!!! Its funny you mentioned coming north...I told Don we needed a vacation and could drive and go and meet my friends from here. He thinks his work will demand them to be coming in eitherway....so its off for now...boohoo!!! Someday over the rainbow... Hugs, > , > Please just take care of yourself and family. Your home can be replaced > eventually but you can't and we don't want anything happening to you and yours. > Take care my friend and good luck. Please keep us posted.
