Hi guys,

I just wanted to share something with you that was kinda funny. We

have an exterminator come out every month to spray for all kinds of fun

stuff (We live in the boonies with lots of wasps and spiders:-)).

Anyways, we've known this guy for a little over 3 yrs, and he lives in

our town, his daughters play basketball in the league my husband

coaches, etc. I'm normally not home when he comes by, just my husband

is. So, I haven't seen him since basketball season (November). He

came by today to spray and kept looking at me and said " Why do you look

completely different to me? " LOL....I guess we never mentioned the jaw

surgery to him, but I told him about it and he said, " I was trying to

figure out if you did something different with your hair or what "

I just thought that was funny the way he phrased it....He did tell me

that I looked great though:-). I can just imagine what everyone else

is going to have to say.

,

That's funny. Yesterday I ventured out of the house for the first

time post-op and by coincidence bumped into a good friend of mine who

was with another guy that I have hung with on several occasions but

that I wouldn't call close. Close enough to always stop and say hi to

me. Well he didn't recognize me yesterday! He practically re-

introduced himself. That really caught me off guard. I know I look

different but that different?! It's sort of scary. I've decided the

fact that he doesn't know me that well and that he must be a nob-head

is the reason for his reaction. Still it sort of upset me but I'm

over it already. Still trying to appreciate the new me but am

learning slowly everyday:-)

Glad to hear the septoplasty went well although unfortunately not

altogether pain free. Those packs up your nose are real painful! I

remember from when I had mine done a few years back. Ouch!
