Guest guest
I can't really say for sure if his ears have improved since graduating from his bands, but I would guess they have not. They did improve while wearing them (he wore 2 for almost 8 months), his ears went from about 15mm down to about 5mm, so I was pretty happy with that improvement considering his age. The asym is minimal enough that I don't notice it anymore unless he puts a pair of sunglasses on, and I only see it because I'm looking for it. But I'm not too worried about it because my ears are uneven as well, both front to back and up and down. I've worn glasses (and then contacts) since I was 7 years old and it's never been a big issue. My eye doctor just always adjusted my glasses so that they fit my face well and I never knew any different. Of course, I would be more concerned about severe misalignment, but I think we're in the safe zone as far as that is concerned. His one ear did stick out a little more than the other, and that did improve a little while in his bands. It helps that he has curly hair, at least at this point, because we keep it kind of long, it disguises any issues with his ears. When he was younger I was totally worried about his ears and his eyes, but mostly about his forehead. I can honestly say at this point, I hardly ever notice his eyes and ears, he just has grown up so much in the last year and a half that his facial structure, facial expressions and personality cover up any minor issues he had remaining. I do sometimes feel like his forehead is still noticeable at times (again, great improvement considering where we started, but not 100% even across the front). Now that he's reached 3 years old, I really believe that he has no more or no less " imperfections " than the average child does, and hopefully that will just continue as he gets older. Anyway, this has just been our experience. Take it for what it's worth! Jake-3 (DOCBand Grad 9/08) > > > > > > Hi , > > > > > > My son is 9 months old.
