Tricia., Hi. My name Is Michele. I had my jaw wired after a second

surgery. First surgery was 26 April and second 12th of May. At this

time I was wired shut and told that I would be wired for 8 weeks and

at about the 3 week mark my OS said lets get the wires off. I was very

nervous, everything is fine. I am working to get my mouth open and I'm

working on learning to eat again. So I guess all I can say is try not

to worry.

Tricia,

I think it's a very individual thing. I'm wired and splinted shut and

will be so for a total of 8 weeks. <shrug> I wish it were only 2 ...

but that's not in the cards for me. :)

Good luck as you move foward!
