I just started her on SCD goat yogurt about a week ago. Is it so powerful it's causing a new die-off?That would be my guess. I don't know too much about ASD since I"m on the diet for UC, but I know yogurt can cause severe die off in many people. Maybe you could try backing off on the yogurt a little bit, and just give her a small spoonful every day? Or cut it out altogether? I think epsom salt baths are supposed to be good for die off, in addition to the charcoal. You could try that. Hope things start going better soon! I'm not sure what you mean by doing something. Like a part time job or a summer

program? Maybe he could take a class at a local community college? Tutor or

babysit?

And, since he is getting older, it would not hurt him to learn to cook SCD,

after all, he won't always live at home...you hope :) It's always a good thing

to teach them cooking and laundry skills before they leave home.

Hey :)Yogurt can be _extremely_ powerful. I was faithfully taking acidophilous for weeks before I tried, immediately after my first spoonful my whole body felt extremely and wonderfully, wonderfully different. one of the best feelings I've ever had. completely amazed me. anyways, that can be extremely powerful stuff. could easily have kicked off major die off.

I have noticed throughout my experience that stuff can cause unexpected die off that kicked my ass for days. Like when I started tapering my vitamin C just a little bit.. (I was on a high does (6000 mg) that I guess must have been a problem merely because it was so acidic? I switched to a buffered vitamin C when I went to an even lower dose and problems completely disappeared.)

Anyways, if you want to play it really safe, I would cut out asparagus again for a couple days and see if you can reattain stability before trying to reintroduce, just in case it's too advanced. I would also ask advice for dosage guidelines on administering the goat yogurt, I do not know what at all to recommend, especially for a kid or in a die-off reaction. (I'm assuming you're on the pecanbread list too? I'm sure if not here then tons of people there would know dosage guidelines for goat yogurt for a little kid in die-off..)

I second the recommendation of epsom salt baths. When I take them, I find it helps even more if instead of dumping in the water, I rub it on my skin first and let at least  some of it get in the water from that. helps if I dampend skin first. kind of a combination of an epsom salts rub/cream and bath, a little bit of the best of both worlds :) rubbing it can cause a little trouble if skin is dry or very sensitive, but just touching it directly, undiluted to skin gently also helps alot for me.

Best!!

My 4yo Lizzie's having a terrible time. Horrible behavior and noises. Enormously contrary. I'm afraid the neighbors are going to think she's being abused or something.

Food reaction? Die-off? Regression?

I've given her 2 activated charcoal capsules so far this morning, and they've done absolutely nothing.

She's working her way through Stage 2.

Recent new foods in past week: SCD goat yogurt, cooked asparagus.

Poopies looked healthy yesterday. Nothing new in past 24 hours. Ground beef, eggs, and cooked-asparagus omelet for breakfast this morning, with 6 oz. SCD goat yogurt and honey and butter.

I just started her on SCD goat yogurt about a week ago. Is it so powerful it's causing a new die-off?

What's up??

Help! I don't know how long I can tolerate her behavior.

He may not want to learn to cook, but it would be a very good thing

for him to learn anyhow. My mother always coddled my brother in that

area and boy was he unprepared to take care of himself at all when he

left home. I'd say have him help around the house, learn how to do

laundry without dyeing the sheets blue or pink, etc etc. He could do

yard work to earn money; I can just about guarantee there are people

in the area who would desperately love to hire him for this! Good

luck, it may be hard to get him started but you are right, it's not

good for him to just sit around all summer and do nothing.
