Guest guest
Amy, I think we all lose at different paces. It sounds like we're fairly close in our losing and I've been told I'm doing great and to stop worrying...lol. I started at 290 at surgery and I'm down to 245. Surgery was on April 23rd. I'm sure you've lost a lot of inches in there too, I know I have. I was wearing a 30/32 and today I put on a jeans blouse that is a 22/24 and danced around the room....lol. Your doing great and keep up the good work. Laurette 4/23/04 open RNY 309/290/245/
Guest guest
I am 9 months post op and have lost 101.5 pound, which averages out to alittle over 11 pounds a month. But I would rather lose it slow than fast. I think that is probably why I have not lost any hair. A friend of mine that had surgery the same day has lost 136 and she has had allot of hair loss. I know everyone is different. Pam 305/203.5/
Guest guest
, I too am a slow loser, but it does comes. You lose less muscle mass this way. I get sick on plain water too. Propel and SF Koolaid help me tons. Janet 283/247/150 july 11, 2004 > Laurette, I hope you're right. I had my surgery three weeks ago, and I've only lost about 25 pounds. Reading all the emails on the site is starting to depress me and make me wonder what I'm doing wrong. I'm having a problem getting the water down, but I'm working on it. Keep up the good work! Guest guest
what about our skin.......if we loose at a slower rate will taht help our skin from being so saggy...or is that going to happen anyways ?
Guest guest
From what I've heard that has nothing to do with the skin. It either happens or doesn't. Some even say that exercise doesn't help it all that much, but I'm hoping they're wrong about that .
