Guest guest
Given that she adjusted well at first, I'm suspecting another cause to her fussiness and lack of sleep. It sounds like how my daughter would react when she had an ear infection. Or, maybe just teething or some other sort of discomfort. You might want to try a trip to the doctor to rule out the ear infection. The other possibility is that the helmet is getting to tight. Are you seeing too much in terms of red spots? If not, then I'd try to rule out the possible medical cause first. helmet help-- sleep problems and fussiness Hi folks,I just joined the group. Can anyone offer advice on fussy infant behavior during the first few weeks of helmet wearing? My 6 mo old daughter, Lena, has been wearing her Hanger helmet for almost 2 weeks now. She adjusted beautifully over the first week, but for the past few days, she's been waking up at night almost every hour, and she typically sleeps 12 hours straight, with maybe 4-6 cries for the pacifier, and then goes right back to sleep. The past few nights she hasn't been able to go back to sleep. We've had to rock her, give her an additional bottle, and put her to sleep in the swing, which isn't great for her posture. (She also has torticollis.) During the day, she has moments of extreme fussiness (arches her back, stiffens her body and screams). This isn't her typical behavior. Any advice? Has anyone else's little one acted up upon adjusting to the helmet? Thanks,
