Guest guest
Hi , My son is 9 months old. He has been wearing helmet from the last 3 months. His head shape is improving but not to original . his left eye is bigger than the right eye, many times the eye alignment is not proper. I am getting very much worried, his sitting posture does not seem to be straight. his head has a slant tilt when he sits. Does it improve over time ? will the eye shape come be similar across both eyes? Will he have walking or developmental problems, or vision problems ? Please share your thoughts. Thanks Saila From cricket scores to your friends. Try the India Homepage!

I noticed improvement in her visual tracking (which they were dismissing as pseudostrabismus) after seven weeks in STARband, and just today (8 weeks) the eye size looking more even as well. It isn't hard to imagine a case where development could get ahead of the treatment, since our helmet fit pretty loosely in the beginning. We were just starting to really worry about Clara's eyes when she was about your son's age. So I think you're on the right track already. At our last adjustment, I clearly communicated to our orthotist that we aren't in it for cosmetics, have no concerns about the health of Clara's skin, and would like the helmet fitting as tightly as possible. He added some moleskin over the high point in back. Thad Launderville Montpelier, VT Clara age 17.5 months, STARband since 8/
