Guest guest
Willa My back teeth don't touch at all. My ortho is supposed to correct that with rubber bande, and it is all supposed to be part of the plan. It is definitely difficult to try to chew anything, so I hope it is a quick fix with the ortho. > I don't recall who wrote something similar awhile back, but maybe > someone can advise me.... > > When my slpint came out two weeks ago I was surprised to find that my > bite did not close at all. Guest guest
You're right about hard to eat. I had surgery to correct an open bite...my front teeth didn't touch. Now post-op my back teeth don't touch. It is a weird sensation to re-learn how to chew properly...even though right now I still can't do it properly. You have given me some relief, though. I am glad to hear that this must all be a part of the master plan of my surgical team. Now that I am past surgery, I just want this done with so I can move on with my life! Thanks, Willa > > I don't recall who wrote something similar awhile back, but maybe > > someone can advise me.... > > > > When my slpint came out two weeks ago I was surprised to find that > my > > bite did not close at all. Guest guest
Willa, It's quite amazing how this process takes over your life, isn't it? I feel like everything in my world has been on hold. I'm with you - it'll be nice to get back to " normal " . Take care, Carol > > > I don't recall who wrote something similar awhile back, but > maybe > > > someone can advise me.... > > > > > > When my slpint came out two weeks ago I was surprised to find > that > > my > > > bite did not close at all. Guest guest
You have probably posted this before. But, I cannot find the info anywhere. Could you please tell me what kind of surgery you had? My surgery was February of 2004. My ortho also needed to pull my back teeth down with rubber bands. Thank you, -Anne (chinagirl26) > > I don't recall who wrote something similar awhile back, but maybe > > someone can advise me.... > > > > When my slpint came out two weeks ago I was surprised to find that > my > > bite did not close at all. Guest guest
-Anne I had my lower jaw advanced and moved to the left. I was unwired 2 weeks ago, and it is getting easier to eat, but my back teeth don't touch at all. > > > I don't recall who wrote something similar awhile back, but > maybe > > > someone can advise me.... > > > > > > When my slpint came out two weeks ago I was surprised to find > that > > my > > > bite did not close at all. Guest guest
My ortho used rubber bands to pull the upper back teeth down. I had about a little over a 1/4 gap between my upper and my lower back teeth in the back. It took about 6 months for the top teeth to come down. Thanks for your info, -Anne > > > > I don't recall who wrote something similar awhile back, but > > maybe > > > > someone can advise me.... > > > > > > > > When my slpint came out two weeks ago I was surprised to find > > that > > > my > > > > bite did not close at all.
