Guest guest
Yes, we seriously malabsorb fat. That's what makes us thin. Actually, we have to make sure we get enough fat to keep our skin from drying out, etc. Also our brains need some fat just to function properly. I'll bet your eating is going to be much more fun now! Guest guest
I do not watch my fats. I use real mayo, real butter, real salad dressings. I do have oil slicks. Choles 127 Triglycerides 44 HDL 89 LDL 37 Only 150 bypassed....so I guess I'm doing something right! Ever so slowly losing again. 153 now...thinking that after my hysterectomy maybe I'll be below 150. Heck...I'll get there if I have to have one body part at a time removed! Sue in Las Vegas (and I still haven't turned the heat on!) Re: (no subject) Not 100%. Well, wait. It's 100% true that we don't absorb some fats. But the degree is somewhat dependent upon your type of surgery. Distal like me, or the BPD family absorb about 5% only. Then on down the proximal line til you get down to prolly 80% absorbed. You can watch your cholesterol levels to see where they are. Mine are almost too low, consistently. Sometimes do rate the LOW flag on labs, but not by much. Thanks, Vitalady, Inc.
