Guest guest
Hi , I've had some C off and on, which is strange for me too. I think it is because SCD changes our gut ecology and this is just part of the process. Personally, I would not take Flagyl. It made me sick as a dog. If the point of Flagyl is to kill off bad bugs, why not just be on SCD? If I don't get enough fruits and veggies I tend towards C too. But I am wondering if you have enough good bugs in there? Are you using the SCD yogurt or a legal probiotic? I also do better when I take fish oil supplements and vitamin D. PJ > > Hey all, > > I'm hoping for some wisdom that you guys can impart. I've been SCD 15 months now. A few ups and downs, but so far pretty happy. For the past 6 weeks I've had mucous and gas, which is usually the begining of a flare for me. I started doing some rowasa enemas to head it off from becoming a full flare and went back to intro. Well, it never turned into a full flare, but the mucous and gas are the same and now I've added bloating and constipation. My gastro wants me to take some flagyl in the thought that it's a bacteria. I'm afraid of messing up the balance I have. > > It's so strange, but before SCD, I have NEVER been constipated, ever. Guest guest
I'm not sure this is the case for either of us, however, for the past 2 years each May I've experienced flare-like symptoms. Last May it was blood/D, and this May/June it's been mucus/gas. I've had numerous sources tell me that the change of seasons, in particular, Spring and Fall are often difficult for those w/ autoimmune dis-eases. I've also returned to the intro and tried to take it easy. In a recent stool test, I found my good and bad bacteria are out of balance, and I suspect this is contributing so I'm about to start working on that. Hang in there!!! Guest guest
I have problems with C when I'm eating dairy and not drinking enough water. I don't know what your diet is though so I'm not sure whether or not that helps. Stacey > > Hey all, > > I'm hoping for some wisdom that you guys can impart. I've been SCD 15 months now.
