Guest guest
- Although it was a tiring day - it seems really exciting! I'm not sure how long you've had your braces on for - but for me it's been 2+ years (and this is the third time of braces). Originally they said the entire procedure would be complete in 1.5 yrs - I guess they undercalculated by just a bit ) I think this surgery is a lot different from others though because there is so much preparation. I've had two years to think about what it will be like, and deal with the braces, and hope for a surgical date, etc. It seems so thrilling that the time is almost here! And I'm as excited for you (and everyone else in June) as I am for myself! As for losing 6lbs - that's definitely not happened with me! Because the date of my surgery kept getting pushed back - I kept thinking I had less time to eat than I did. Needless to say, I've been indulging slightly for a little over a year ) I guess it was good to go to the nutrionist yesterday... Hope everyone is doing well! -becky
Guest guest
Hi Becky: As time goes by I am getting use to these hooks, so I am sure by next month the eating will come back..(haha) I agree with you in that this is surely a long process, but at least the end is in sight! I have been in braces this go round for over 26 months. The first time was for 3 years. It is amazing all the prep that goes into the surgery. It surely requires patience especially when surgery gets postponed. My surgery was originally supposed to be this past November or December but got pushed back do to surgeon issues. I am so glad that June is almost here. Best of Luck, > - > > Although it was a tiring day - it seems really exciting! Guest guest
Originally, my surgery was going to be in October of 2004. I'm now almost 3 weeks post-op. They can " guesstimate " all they want. Only time will tell how things move and progress. I have to admit, though, that my Surgeon asked me to commit to a three year process when I signed on. And by the time my braces come off ... I'll be at about the 3 year 3 month mark. > > - > > > > Although it was a tiring day - it seems really exciting!
