Guest guest
, I am 6 weeks out and still struggle with chewing foods. I can easily take 30-60 minutes to eat, and sometimes even longer. I have had the luxury to do so until today. I start back to work this morning. If y'all never hear from me again, it is because I cannot keep up with the posts. I will try, but.... Guest guest
! I have to eat slow or I get too full too quickly or I feel sick to my stomach. So I usually get on the computer while I'm eating or have lunch with girlfriends, since we all talk so much I tend to eat slowly...teeheehee. in Delaware Lap RNY 3/10/04 261/178/120 In a message dated 7/26/2004 1:14:47 AM Eastern Daylight Time, " booksforanna " writes: >Hey you guys, >At my last appt with my nutrionist she said that I'm eating too fast >because I only take five or ten minutes to eat at mealtime. Guest guest
I have found that the quicker I eat, the quicker I feel full and the quicker I stop eating. I know that goes against the conventional wisdom, but if I eat slowly, I find that I can eat ALOT more at a sitting. I just recently ran across the Pouch Rules for Dummies and find that the author seems to agree. Helena Lap RNY 6/23/03 343/208/?

Personally, I don't believe that you can get full " too quickly " . I know that goes against the conventional wisdom, but if I eat slowly, I find that I can eat ALOT more at a sitting, and therefore defeat the purpose of the surgery. I just recently ran across the Pouch Rules for Dummies and find that the author seems to agree. YMMV, of course. Helena Lap RNY 6/23/03 343/208/? Guest guest
Thank you to Laurette and for wishing me a good first day back to work. One guy in particular tortured me all day, so i know he missed me! Not many of the ladies will " play " with him like I did, so he made up for lost time. My back hurt some ( I expected it to due to weakness ) but mostly my feet hurt. My patient load was pretty easy, so it was a good day. Guest guest
Janet, My doctor also had me take for the first 3 months Pepcid AC chewables. For the first 6 weeks, 2 a day and then once a day for the remaining 6 weeks.
