Guest guest
Has anyone had to get stool samples to their Hematologist? I seen mine last month and he put me on this liquid iron once a day, ACKY! Hemoglobin was 9 and my ferritin was 6 as well.... but he wants these stool samples to him and then after a month of taking this liquid iron I repeat the blood test.... I was just curious if anyone else had to do these, I'm NOT looking forward to doing it, but I guess it has to be done as part of this iron problem " I " /we seem to be having since surgery. Thanks, Sheila in Chgo =:-) > Anyone have experience with this particular protocol? > > in Austin > RNY April 1998 > > > No, not yet. But I'm right behind you in line for starting infusions. Guest guest
Sheila, I know, grossed me out. I went to the lab and she said, " do you have your cards? " I thought she meant insurance card! The dr. never sent the " cards " w/the lab request. I had to do it, but felt more sorry for the person who has to do the test! p.s. mine was positive so they ARE important.
