Guest guest
Debbie: Congrats on your approval and your date. You'll do just fine. I found the tummy tuck to be way better pain wise than the wls. Very sore, but not a lot of pain. Then I got a somewhat rare complication (who me, how unusual) a necrotic fat mass which was so excruciatingly painful, that Vicodin and I werejustlikethis for about three weeks. The surgery itself, a breeze. I'm sure you'll do well. I'm really happy for you. Regina

Guest guest
Dawna, I guess I should say congratulations. I mean, with Noah being ghd, that means you will never have to fight the insurance company for gh shots! And the decision is made for you - you have no choice but to give him the shots to help him grow. Gosh, I never thought that we would celebrate by finding out our kids have something, but if it gets us what they need, then so be it. Keep on smiling! Guest guest
Dawna Congratulations! As Jodi said, isn't it something to actually be celebrating when our kids are found to have something with them!! But this is excellent news in regards to growth hormone. You are correct, it is free sailing for you all now as the Ontario government will foot the bill. Wonderful! Did they tell you what his GH levels were? I remember Adam's were 16...I was told that was smack tab in the middle range of normal. Our numbers seem to be different up here than in the US. Well I better run, I had decided Adam was too old for trick or treating this year. Yes, size wise, he could scam it, but I want him to " do " as his age peers would. His father has been a huge stubborn old kook for years now purporting that he should always be " age appropriate " (to the point he took him out of a car seat YEARS AND YEARS before he should have; much to my anger). So his father got wind of my decision to say no more Halloween and what did he do all weekend when Adam was there?? Drill it into his head that he is small enough he can go out again. Only because I cut it out, and said it.....his father loves to do the exact opposite to me every chance he can get. So.....as I was saying I have to run, I have to take Adam out trick or treating (oh the kicker?? when I got divorced 9 years ago my X husband added into the custody agreement that he BE ALLOWED to take the kids trick or treating every year. As if I would argue with that!!! I have stayed home for the past 9 Halloweens!!! LOL No arguments here. But this year??? NO he makes sure he gets Adam all riled up that he HAS TO go trick or treating and then he says he can't 'escort' him this year, however his father thinks he is old enough to go alone!!! I don't think so!!!! They always say if not going with a parent, go with a friend.....he hasn't any friends around here to go with, so forget it, I am going now. I have already perked the coffee so I better go and get his royal highness ready for trick or treating!!!!) Deb More good news More relief! We finally got an appointment with the new ped!!!!! Life at the moment is pretty darn good. Had to share! )))) perma grins Dawna
Guest guest
I know exactly what you two are saying cause I am feeling it ... happy, ecstatic (sp) that we don't have to pay for GHT or fight for the coverage, yet unsure what this really means and if it is good for Noah that he is GHD or what???!!! I'm hoping that someone out there has some info on GHD/RSS and can help a little here. According to our endo the govt will pay at 8 or less and Noah just fits the bill at 8. Guest guest
Dawna, MAGIC has a GHD division. Perhaps you should contact them to see what they can tell you. Jodi Z
