Guest guest
Hi Debbie, Congratulations on the tummy tuck. I had ALOT of reconstructive surgery this summer----like every 3 weeks I had something major done. My last surgery was the stomach and upper thighs on Aug 15th. Now granted....I have had a previous tummy tuck (17 years ago).....2 c-sections....an open RNY----so my stomach has been opened up quite a bit. I found the tummy tuck to be nearly painless. I was cut hip to hip and had to to have those awful drains for 2 weeks (to me the worst part were the drains). Now you want to talk pain.......I could go on and on about the upper arms. If I could retract any of these surgeries it would be the arms. Nothing else was that painful---I took very little pain medication. I had the face, neck, eyes, thighs, stomach, arms and boobs done. I have to say this....at 50 years old I have some damn good looking boobs now....they are beautiful. How do I delicately bring this up.......when the Doc. does your tummy tuck make sure he goes a little lower and does a " lower thing " lift.......I think they actually call it a Mons lift. UN-FREAKIN-BELIEVABLE ! ! ! It was so funny....after the surgery and I went to pee for the first time----the pee shot out from every direction. The Doc said that since everything " down there " was lifted it would take a few weeks for it all to settle in place. Anyway---good luck----you are going to love it. I just went out last week to buy my first pair of REAL jeans (no stretchy waist). And this is since my gastric by-pass. I never wanted to buy any till I had the tummy tuck. So, I waited for the swelling to subside and off I went to LL Bean and very much to my surprise I fit into a size 8 regular waist jeans. The Gloria Vanderbilt jeans are a size 6. And here I thought I was a 12 or 14. This is great-----alot of truth to the saying------NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS THINNESS FEELS!!!! Not bad for the wimp that didn't even WANT reconstructive surgery. LOL I am focusing on the positive....and I am positive I will request PAIN meds!!!!!! > > Debbie & > in Gig Harbor Homepage: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Graduate-OSSG Unsubscribe: mailto:Graduate-OSSG-unsubscribe
Guest guest
You know, I have never had any intentions of having my arms done. Figure I can wear sleeves or just tough it out. LOL Most women my age...thin or not have flaps! Now, if I were to have an elective reconstructive surgery (one not medically necessary)...it would be a face lift. Or at least an eye lift...get rid of the bags and crows feet and sagging eye lids...raise what's left of my eye brows...and do a little lipo on the jowls. <sigh> Well, one can dream.
