Guest guest
I recently got Elana's almond flour cookbook. It's got some neat recipes, but isn't SCD. She uses agave syrup as her sweetener. Can anyone please tell me what the honey substitution amount would be? Any ideas on a substitute for arrowroot powder? Sounds like a thickener. Thanks! heather UC 13y SCD 16months
Guest guest
From what I've heard it's a 1:1 ratio for the honey and that coconut flour is a good substitute for the arrowroot powder. Thanks! 1:1 on honey for agave. Since I haven't touched arrowroot powder since before I went SCD, I'm not sure about its uses other than as a thickener, like you say. I understand coconut flour makes a good substitute. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle
