Hello All:

I recently wrote to tell all of you that I was diagnosed with

Osteopenia and that the GYN I was going to refused to prescribe

anything for me. Well, I also have problems with my blood count, so

I went to a Hematologist. The Hematologist didn't agree with the GYN

at all.

She's more WLS savey than the GYN. She prescribed Evista. I also

have esophogeal problems so she said she couldn't prescribe Fosomax.

She said Evista is much easier on a normal stomach but she wasn't

sure just how pouch friendly it would be.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Roe

I use Miacalcin which is a nasal spray. It's supposed to be pretty

effective and has no side effects for most people. I have been taking it

for a year, but haven't had another bonescan yet (my insurance will only

cover one every two years). According to my doctor, the results have been

pretty good with this drug.
