Hi (Caboonse), Glad to hear you're doing good. This June

buddy had a rough week after surgery, but has turned the corner now

and on the mend.

It's nice you don't have any bands on for the time being. That

should help.

Take care and recuperate.

Caboose!!!!

Yayyyy! You're back! We have missed you! I am so happy that your

surgery went well. I can't believe that you have lost 12 lbs! I was

hoping to lose a bit of weight, but have only manged about 5lbs. I

look forward to hearing more from you. Take it easy, my dear, and

get lots of rest.

welcome back!

I'm so glad to hear everything went well for you. Mine didn't go

quite so smoothly but right now I'm doing a little better. I've had

a hard time getting the pain under control and feel like I've been

run over by the train. I did make it out for my first PT session

today which helped some but now the meds are wearing off again.

I hope you continue to have a smooth recovery.

Ahhhh....I've been checking everyday to see if you had gotten to a

computer yet! So glad to hear everything went well. My first day

in the hospital I had to beg for some water. It took the lady about

2-3 hours to bring me some because she was trying to find zip bags

for me...then finally opted for a syringe..urgg! lol. I am banded

now, but can take them off to eat and brush. I am now on soft foods

which is wonderful. Hope time goes by as fast for you as it has for

me...I cant believe I am already past 3 weeks!!! Hope all continues

to go well..and when you get back on your computer you need to post

some pics for us!!! Keep in touch but don't overdo the outings!

Hi Caboose!

My surgery went well. I'm doing really good. I have pics posted if

you have a minute to check them out. I got unwired yesterday and

started eating mash potatoes and applesauce. I've lost 10 pounds.

I went out today to Wal-Mart and Costo and made it just fine.

Glad to hear your surgery went well also.

Oh Caboose YOU MADE IT TO THE OTHER SIDE!!! Whoooohooooooo!!! I'm so

glad to have news of you, was starting to get worried even though I

knew you couldn't get regular access to a PC. Lucky you on having no

splint!!! I promise that the appetite will come back soon. I'm off to

Florence tomorrow to go visit my fiance' so I'll be sure to drink some

good wine for you and toast to a speedy and painless recovery for you

Caboose, my fave surgery buddy:-) We've missed you on the board!!!

Welcome back.

Hi !

My problem was opposite yours in that they brought me tons and tons

of juices, water, etc. My tray was piled high. I had no desire to

eat or drink anything in the hospital. I just wanted to sleep! I

sure wish you were my neighbor at the hospital and I would of stocked

you up on that water..(haha)

It is strange that I will be banded next week instead of right after

surgery. The OS stated he wanted to let everything heal a little bit

before putting pressure on the jaws. Sounded good to me, at least I

am able to eat soft foods right now!

I will talk to you soon, my minutes here at the library are getting

ready to run out!

Thanks Cammie,

I am going to work a little harder on the nutrition part which my OS

informed me that I have to gain back a little weight before he will

release me back to work. I lost 10 pounds before surgery when the

hooks were put in, and now have added another 13 pounds to that.

I'll talk to you soon,
