Hey, I think it does. I missed 2x and there is no other reason than the

weight loss and the hormones stored in the fat cells. At least that is what

my OBGYN said.....

After getting the gastric bypass surgery will it effect your

menstrual cycle and how many periods u have?

My first period after the surgery was late by about three weeks,

very, very heavy - not normal for me at all. (My surgery was four

months ago) but since they've been right on schedule, lighter and

actually shorter in duration - but I think that also has to do with

the fact that I'm healthier and eater better.

Just my two cents.

I haven't had any problems. My cycle has been very normal. A little heavier

right after surgery, but I'm sure that has to do with the stress of the surgery

on my body. Now it is fine and I'm a little over 5 months out.
