Guest guest
I no longer have the monthly. When I did, the moodiness seemed to last a shorter time. Eating right always improved my symptoms. The bloating was always bad. People actually thought I was pregnant after WLS. Tell a woman who is having PMS that she looks pregnant! Better run for the hills...lol! Anyway, WLS surgery or not, try to eat really well the two weeks before your monthly. I think after WLS, the good foods are essential! You know our bodies crave everything that makes PMS symptoms worse during that time. Avoid starchy carbs, caffeine and sugars...chocolate and soda are the worst. Another thing I've been reading a lot about is vitamins for PMS symptoms. My 13 yr old daughter suffers extremely difficult moodiness during this time of the month. Making sure you get enough calcium w/D, magnesium and B vitamins may help you out. Dawn

My worst time as a woman was PMS. I don't miss it at all. However, I thought that this was now treatable and that a visit to the GYN would solve the problem. Guest guest
Same for me!! My hystie was a year ago and I sure haven't missed the awful cramps & bloating and then the horrible bleeding for a week out of every two to three weeks! I was definitely done having kids, so I didn't see any reason to keep that thing in there. ---------------------------------------- Terry Mayers 5DollarHosting.com http://www.5dollarhosting.com .... because it shouldn't cost a fortune to make a fortune! Guest guest
Oh, I am soooo in tune with this. Been doing the happy happy joy joy dance every since mine in 1998!!! Would have had it earlier, but had to convince the Navy that is was a medical necessity. I guess wanting to KILL someone every month didn't qualify! Guest guest
My periods are definately more intense, more painful, the PMS is worse and they are very heavy and last longer. I've always gotten tired while PMSing, now I get totally exhausted and can barely function at times. My bloating is worse, when my period is coming, my work uniform pants barely fit me, but I don't want to ask for a larger size just for PMSing, I doubt my boss would give me one anyway---and then there would be all the talking (oh no! needs a bigger pair of pants, she must be gaining weight and her surgery is failing!!!) I've never looked forward to having my period, now I dread it coming!! :-) Open RNY June 4th, 2002 Cleveland Center for Bariatric Surgery Dr. Sonpal 285/149/where ever my body decides to stop!! ----- Original Message ----- > Hi Everyone!! > Just a quick question for all of you women out there in the > group...now that you have lost a lot of weight..do you notice that your monthly > period symptoms are much more intense?
