5 weeks post-op visit-GOOD NEWS!

I can CHEW!!! My OS said to start chewing today, soft things like

pasta, eggs, etc., and work my way up to a hamburger by Friday! I'm

quite excited, I'm sure you all can relate! I bet my jaw will be very

tired the first few times I eat, but I'm going to keep trying. He's

very pleased with everything and noticed that I'm getting smile lines

back, so I don't look so stiff:-). My lips are closing easier now,

they want to be closed more now than they used to, but still they

don't meet when relaxed. Although, my husband seems to think it

looks " cute " . I'm not quite sure if that was what I was going

for...lol. The OS said that my brackets are surely getting in the way

somewhat, and whatever isn't closed up in the next couple weeks will

be when my braces come off. (so, still some hope:-).)

I just had to share my good news, and I better get to eating:-)
