Guest guest
The very best stuff is Aquaphor (by Eucerin) - you can ask for it at the drugstore either at the pharmacy counter or cosmetics counter. I was fortunate enough that a very good friend of mine sent me a big tub of it. I still use it from time to time for chapped skin. > Carol, , Amy and any other post-oppers, what was the name of the > lip balm you recommended to use post-surgery? Guest guest
Sara, I believe the stuff that was recommended to me is Aquaphor. I haven't used it, though. At LIJ they gave me some bacitracin based stuff to use. When I saw my Surgeon at my 1 week post-op appointment, he told me I was using too much. He said I could use the Aquaphor if I wanted to, or Vaseline, but that any " every day normal " chapstick/lip gloss type product would be fine - just something to keep my lips moist not to drown them in. I hope that helps! Carol > Carol, , Amy and any other post-oppers, what was the name of the > lip balm you recommended to use post-surgery? Guest guest
Derrick, don't laugh but I have also put in a lot of thought into what to do during my hospital stay. I've selected a few music mixes to listen to and a few easy to read magazines. My hospital stay will only be 24 hours so it shouldn't be too bad. I'm not really that organized usually it's just that some form of organization in prepping for the surgery soothes my nerves even though I know that in the long run I will just have to go with the flow. As with all things in life, hardly anything goes 100% to plan. and Carol - thanx for the advice on aquaphor. Unfortunately I couldn't find it in any of the pharmacies today - they had every Eucerin product for wrinkles but not lips. I think I'll wait to get the stuff LIJ gave Carol and then see how that works. Sara > Sara, you must be the ultimate organizer in real life eh? Keep up the great > attention!
