Guest guest
Have you had any measurements taken? What do you want/ think you need to do? My daughter is 8 mths with brachy of 92 and I am going to have her in a helmet ev3en though the Drs discouraged me. I want her to have an oval a shaped head as it can be. Esp so she won't look funny in braids or whatever. Her max width is right above the ears and I think it has a bit of a jack nicholson look which I just can't stand. What do your drs say? Good luck EL > > hi, i am new to this group. > my daughter is 9 month now,she has Brachycephaly. i had try to reposition her, but looks like it doesn't work. i will post a photo . i don't know what can i do now. i know there are some parents that have experience. can somebody help me and give me some advice? > thanks so much! >
Guest guest
We have an appointment with the Dr. next month. It's a specialist and we have to wait. My daughter's ped never think her head shape is bad, so he never gave us any advice. I asked the nurse in the community center and she think it's a problem and gave us a referral. I just wondering is there any other way I can do to improve her situation except the hamlet? If we chose the hamlet, probable when we get it, my daughter will be turning 11 month, is that too late? During these time what can I do? Thanks for you reply! > > > > hi, i am new to this group. > > my daughter is 9 month now,she has Brachycephaly. i had try to reposition her, but looks like it doesn't work. i will post a photo . i don't know what can i do now. i know there are some parents that have experience. can somebody help me and give me some advice? > > thanks so much! > > >
Guest guest
keep repositioning her head so she is not flat on it. I wake up several times in the night to check and have tried to figure out ways to get her from going back to the flat face totally up position. Sometimes she rolls to her belly and my ped said it was alright to leave her if she rolls herself. Also as much tummy time and sitting as you can do. As little time in a car seat as possible. Also cranial sacral terapy has been recommended to me and I am trying to find one. Chiropractors also have benefitted some people. I also masage her head while I am holding her. Wish I knew more I'd rather not have the helmet but when I look at the difference of Sydney M in the photos I am sure it is the right thing for my daughter in the long run. I worry about helmets later not protecting the frontal lobe as they should because the foam will need to take up so much space at the front. Anyway I don't want her to ask me why did you not fix this?? I am trying to post pics do you have any? > > > > > > hi, i am new to this group. > > > my daughter is 9 month now,she has Brachycephaly. i had try to reposition her, but looks like it doesn't work. i will post a photo . i don't know what can i do now. i know there are some parents that have experience. can somebody help me and give me some advice? > > > thanks so much! > > > > > >
