Guest guest
We went over to Federal Way today (had to make a pilgrimage to Trader Joe's) and I was surprised to see there was still snow on the ground! We never got any here in Bremerton, either, though I hear the northern part of Kitsap County did get some. We have a flat garage roof, and as we are on a hill the garage is in front of the house but under the living room, and I noticed today that all the little puddles on the roof had a thin layer of ice on them. I knew it got chilly last night, but I didn't realize HOW chilly! Man, am I spoiled since I got to Washington! It's already been winter for a month in Colorado's high country, I hear. ~~ Lyn G

I have just enough left over from Thursday? to make me wish it was really snow =========================================== Personally, I feel snow is for Christmas Eve. Let it start snowing in the evening on Christmas Eve right before the kids go to bed and let them wake up to a white Christmas. Then it could start again mid day Christmas day so the in-laws will leave early ( that happened last Christmas, Whoopeee) Then it could go away and not come back for a year. Right now my kids are at the ages where its like that movie A Christmas Story, bundling them up, where they can't put their arms down. After you get them in their snowsuits, then Leah will have to go to the bathroom. The cold, the boots, the hats, the ski pants. Blechhh. You can keep it. Boy, don't I sound Bah-Humbug this morning? Hate being cold and wet. Regina
Guest guest
Well...you know Washington and it's microclimates. Came home today....and everything looked so pretty...The neighbor boys had torn up all the snow in their yards..and ours sat untouched. They were looking at our yard longingly! As we drove up...I said to one of them...how about building me a snowman? There are four boys that live across the street. I told them if they built me a snowman...they could have the rest of the snow in my yard.. rip it up! So...I have a nice snowman with a carrot for a nose and charcoal smile and buttons down the front and stick arms! I'm sure there isn't much snow left out front...as they had the snowball fight to end all snowball fights! They are so cute. What can I say? If it snows....we get it. We got between 6 and 8 inches.
