Guest guest
Michele It sounds like you are doing much better this time around. That is good news. Try not to talk too much at first. That should keep your jaws from getting so tired. I only had lower done, and I am wired with a splint. I think that the splint is what makes it so hard for people to understand me. It doesn't allow your tongue to move right, and it blocks the airflow. I can't wait to get it out! Guest guest
Hi Michele, Glad to hear things went well the 2nd time around, I bet you are relieved to have it over. No wonder you didn't feel well with an infection and all. That's great that your tongue isn't numb, did they have an explanation? I wonder if the nerve was swollen with the infection. I'm still discouraged about my tongue, trying to be optimistic but some days are harder than others. It will be nice when this is all behind us. I love cooking too, hope you enjoy your class depite not being able to eat it. take care Sherri > Hey everyone, > > I had a good night sleep, from 9:30pm until 6:30 Am. Guest guest
Michele, It's nice to hear such positivity coming from your direction! This is a VERY emotional process. I think a few tears now and again are normal ... and necessary. You just keep your chin up! Personally, I have trouble talking because of the splint and the swelling. With my jaw wired shut there just isn't any place for air to move back and forth and there isn't room for my tongue to " do its thing " on the inside. But, I'm getting better every day! Have a wonderful Sunday! Carol > Hey everyone, > > I had a good night sleep, from 9:30pm until 6:30 Am.
