Guest guest
I am four years post op and had pneumonia the year before my wls and then for two consecutive years post wls. On the second round with a relapse, my doctor suggested that I get the pneumovax injection. Told me that it would take care of 27 different strains of pneumonia. Jokingly I said, " watch, I'll get strain #28 " . Six months later, in the hospital for 9 days with pneumonia, then home incapacitated for another two weeks at home. The pneumonia vaccinations are supposed to keep you immune for 5-7 years. Will admit that last winter, didn't even have the sniffles, even when everyone else around me was dropping like flies. Could also be all the vitamins from Vita-Kahuna Lady. I've never had the flu vaccine and I'm knocking wood right now, will not get it again this year. With my luck I'd end up with the flu and then some. Regina

Sheesh, they have to withstand steps, crashing antique platters, kids, speeding cars and who knows what else that you do NOT report to us, Bubble Wrap Girl. ================================================== Though I was the brunt of this rather harsh e-mail, I have to say, it cracked me up. I will admit, of late, there have been a " few " things I have not reported to you. Just figured you were as sick of hearing this stuff from me as I am going through it. Oh, by the way, Timex called, they want me to be their new spokesperson. lol Regina AKA " Bubble Wrap Girl " or " BWG " for short.
